Kingdom Faith Empowerment Center was founded by Bishop Hollie R. Mayes, PhD on September 8, 2015. The Kingdom” as we are called, started out on humble beginnings. We started out with 3 members in a small box church in Duncanville, Texas. The Kingdom quickly grew to more than 25 members in less than 3 months and continued to grow throughout the remainder of the year. However, in 2016 and 2017, The Kingdom experienced major decrease in membership and Dr. Mayes realized that a new strategy and structure was in order to establish growth.
So, during 2018, Kingdom Faith Empowerment Center would switch it’s focus from membership to education and edification of the people of God and it’s current members. Everyone did not receive this new structure receptively, however, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and through receiving wisdom from God, The Kingdom began to grow again. This growth was foundational and strong. In 2019, The Kingdom has continued to move in a direction of increased building and edifying of the saints. A place of family, education, transparency, and Love, we have strived to maintain the core principles that God would exemplify himself. We will continue to grow and we are excited at what God is doing at The Kingdom.
Bishop Hollie Mayes, PhD is one of the most charismatic, energetic, and educational preachers of our time. His transparency, zeal, and passion for the Word of God, makes him a preacher for a generation such as this. Born in Dallas, Texas, and a graduate of Lincoln High School, Dr. Mayes went on to play baseball at Florida Memorial College in Miami, Florida and Prairie View A&M University in Houston, Texas. During his time in college, he realized that it was time to do more, so he enlisted in the United States Navy. There he enjoyed a great career for more than 10 years. Afterwards, he went back to complete a Bachelors of Christian Ministries with a Minor in Kinesiology, Masters in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University, and a Doctorates in Pastoral Counseling from Ignite Seminary School of Theology in Houston, Texas.
After serving for more than 12 years under two great men of God, the Holy Spirit came to Dr. Mayes with a vision of further edification of God’s people. So, on September 8, 2015, Kingdom Faith Empowerment Center was founded. He has been a major part of the growth and development of the Apostolic faith in Dallas, Texas and is currently the Dallas Metropolitan Bishop for International Bibleway Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. He is also connected and affiliated with Elyon Covenant Alliance and Believers International Ministries as well.
Bishop Mayes is a father of 5 and married to the former Stephenie Raquel King-Brown. They currently reside in Cedar Hill, Texas.
